Yes. Most of them cover vein procedures if the patient has symptoms
of vein disease such as pain, swelling, heaviness, cramping, or
restless legs. Most insurances prefer a patient to have a history of
trying compression stockings for at least 6 to 12 weeks. We will
discuss all of these details with you on your visit. Each new
patient will be able to discuss the terms of their specific policy.
Many insurance policies now dictate the order in which vein
procedures can be performed.
Our specialists will discuss the
requirements of your specific insurance policy with you. Your
treatment plan will be designed in accordance with your specific
policy’s requirements. Most PPOs and Medicare do not need any
referral. However, HMOs will require a referral to us from your
primary care physician.

Does my insurance cover the vein
treatments?
Most insurance companies do cover vein treatments for
varicose veins that are medically necessary. In case of
when conservative treatment few different therapies are
being used some policies do not cover the treatments as
these are viewed as only being done for cosmetic, not
for medical reasons. Make an appointment for a
